About the project

“Project 4 – Qualitative evaluation of the risk factors of HCV infection associated with medical procedures in selected health care units” is a research project which is going to be realized in the three provinces of Lublin, Rzeszow and Kielce. The main activities of the project are environmental studies involving in-depth surveys with observations of sanitation procedures in hospitals, clinics and private practices. The project assumes preparation of educational materials for medical personnel on the basis of obtained data and information. Conclusions based on the obtained data should help with application of individual blood-borne infection preventing programs in health care facilities (task of infection Control Teams) and serve for preparation of new tools to be used by sanitary services in control of blood-borne infections, including HCV. The report summarizing the research will contribute to develop National Strategy for Prevention and Control of HCV.
