Improvement of HCV diagnostics, estimation of HCV prevalence in general population and analysis of factors associated with HCV prevalence
According to existing estimations approximately 1 out of 100,000 adults in Poland may be infected with hepatitis C virus (HCV) and more than 90% infections still remain undiagnosed. In Poland, more than 200,000 persons, who are living with hepatitis C, are not aware of the infection.
Project 1 covers the HCV infection diagnostics (hepatitis C, HCV) in the primary health care units and detailed analysis of routes of HCV transmission in Poland.
